Safety and billing
Cosmos
Sunflare is fully usable for free, and that's the plan, not a trial. Cosmos and Cosmos Pro are optional subscriptions that help cover servers, storage, and bandwidth, and add a few extras. Nothing that makes Sunflare work well with friends is locked behind them.

Paying monthly, your first month is free. Paying yearly costs 9 months' price for 12 months (3 months free).
Subscribing#
- Open Settings → Subscriptions on sunflare.me or in the desktop app.
- Choose Monthly or Yearly, then Cosmos or Cosmos Pro.
- Pay with PayPal. Your perks start as soon as the payment goes through.
Subscriptions and gifts can't be bought in the mobile app. Subscribe on the web or desktop and the perks apply on your phone too.
Cancelling#
Click Cancel Subscription in Settings → Subscriptions, and confirm.
When a subscription ends (cancelled, payment failed, or a gift running out):
- Your files stay. Uploads never expire on any plan, including big ones made while subscribed.
- Video quality drops to the best your plan allows.
- Voice channels in servers you own that were set above 64 kbps are reset to 64 kbps.
- A custom invite code on a server you own is replaced with a random one, and the old custom link stops working.
- Your profile badge goes away.
Gifting#
Give someone Cosmos or Cosmos Pro for 1, 3, 6, or 12 months. It's a one-time charge to you; neither of you is signed up for anything recurring.
- In Settings → Subscriptions, click Send a Gift.
- Enter their username, choose the tier and duration.
- Pay with PayPal. They see it as a message from you the moment the payment completes.
Referral Program#

Share your personal invite link. Rewards:
- For every 10 people who sign up through it: a free month of Cosmos.
- For every 25: a free month of Cosmos Pro instead (at most once every 3 months).
Only brand-new accounts count; an existing user joining a server through your link doesn't. The page shows how many people have signed up through yours and a leaderboard. Referral months don't stack on top of a paid subscription.
Lucky day#
Every day, each account has a small chance (1 in 1,000) of a free 24-hour perk, announced with a "Lucky day!" message:
- 4K Video
- Up to 4K60 in calls.
- Max Voice Bitrate
- Your voice channels can use higher bitrates.
- Custom Sounds
- Custom notification, ring, and join sounds.
- 1GB Uploads
- Upload files up to 1 GB, and anything you upload that day stays, for good.
When the 24 hours end, settings that depended on it go back to normal.
